11 years licensed/experienced stylist. I started cosmetology school at the age of 17 in Des Moines, Iowa at the Aveda Institute. Since becoming licensed in 2014, I have worked behind the chair in multiple cities including Las Vegas, Des Moines, and the quad cities. I have traveled around the country to take countless expert cut&color classes with some of the industry’s top recognized beauty professionals. From training on the latest hair cut and color trends, different forms of extensions, to NYFW styling. In 2017 I took upon the opportunity to become a Cosmetology Instructor at the same Aveda Institute that I myself attended, for about 2 years. Teaching something I love and am passionate about was so rewarding but time away from the chair/salon was too hard for me! I returned to the salon full time in 2019 where I have been since. Throughout my career I got to work in 4 beautiful, prestige salons in 3 different cities and have learned and grown so much as a stylist and person! In 2022 I took my next step into owning my own private salon studio where I have remained since. In 2023 I became a mother to my son, Jet. He is my world! In 2024 I relocated from the quad cities back to Des Moines which is home. Carly Callison Beauty is now located within Solo Tu Salon in Johnston, Iowa. Starting over my clientele only means I get the opportunity to meet new people and help them achieve their hair goals- two things I absolutely love about this industry! From the very beginning I have found my specialty lies in low-maintenance, transformative, & corrective hair colors, I strive for a beautiful seamless grow out for every head of hair, using multiple signature techniques I have perfected over the years to make your color last and keep you feeling fresh until you’re back in my chair even if you have to go longer in between appointments than planned! I absolutely love when my clients can go months and months without seeing me and their color still looks great when they come back in! I also specialize in blonding all shades of hair and hand tied extension methods. I LOVE big transformations and giving people that “WOW” factor but I also love enhancing natural looks as well! I offer a variety of other services that I love as well such as cutting (I especially love long fun layered hair cuts) ,formal styling!! (That means weddings and prom!) & even brow shaping and tinting! 50% cancellation fee will be processed for all cancellations within 24 hours of scheduled appointment and 100% cancellation fee will be processed for all no call no shows.
